Ria & Tanner // Squamish Engagement Session
Ria & Tanner met climbing and adventuring while going to school in the Okanagan so we instantly had a connection. Initially we’d planned to go snowshoeing but with a busy winter we decided on an alternative. They were looking for something adventurous outside the city and I knew the perfect spot. I camp and climb a ton in Squamish so knew about some hidden gems down the backroads. Squamish and particularly, Paradise Valley offer a range of breathtaking backdrops with lush forest and rivers running through, it’s the perfect location for an adventure engagement session. We spent pretty much their entire session talking about life, traveling, and getting advice from them about climbing in the Kelowna. As for the photography part of their session – they totally rocked it! We started with beers at Backcountry Brewery then ventured through the tree lined, back roads of paradise valley. Morty, they’re awesome dog (and Hank’s new best friend) sniffed around while we took photos by the river. We ended off at the Spit, which offers uninterrupted views of the Chief. That’s a lie, we actually ended at Mag’s 99 for some some of the best Mexican food to ever exist… By the time we all left Mag’s, I had definitely made two new friends and am stoked for future climbing adventures!
